Interesting game . . Coeburn started out really strong with an awesome 50+ yard touchdown pass which put them ahead of Kelly at the beginning. It took Kelly a while to get revved up, but they eventually went up 7-6 (Coeburn missed their PAT) and from that point onwards, for Coeburn it was missed opportunities, turnovers, and dumb mistakes. Kelly played sloppy as ever, but Sproles was also missing in action except for a punt or two, so we probably didn't exactly see the healthiest Kelly team out there.

Coeburn also had 3 starters out. 1 is still recovering from an injury the other 2 were suspended for a prank that happened away from school, but that doesn't mean Coeburn would have won or even made it closer had they played.

I feel that Coeburn got out coached tonight, Wise did a good job of adjusting after Coeburn's first two drives.

Speaking of being out-coached: Is it just me or was Bright completely shut down tonight? It seems like Kelly's defense did an awesome job of keeping him at bay. #4 for Coeburn did a good job running the ball, but it just seemed like Bright couldn't get anything going at all. Near the end of the game you could tell he was really worn down.

And I was wondering why the heck so many Coeburn players weren't in pads on the sideline . . guess that explains it! I know that you referred to 3 of them, but I swear it seems like there were even more than that!

Well I only know of three that are heavy contributers. 2 of 'em are two way starters.

And your right about Shane, he was gassed. I guess with two starting LB's out he had to pick up the slack.

Kelly's starting running backs Devan Sproles and Jordan Bates were both out tonight. I thought the young guys stepped and ran the ball well, especially Lucas Kerns.

I also thought Cody Williams and Will Strength played very well from their linebacker positions.

I kinda figured Wise had a couple guys out as well. I was expecting a much better game, but I was pretty bored all night. But again good job by the Wise coaches to use what they had, they done an excellent job of clock management. If I had to guess I would say they had at least 12 3rd down conversions.

It is scary to think of what Bright could do if he had a better line. He really is a heckuva player. The TRIBE did a solid job on him tonight.It is hard to be a ballcarrier and man the LB spot though,and you could tell he was spent. Kudos to B.I.'s boys for responding after a rough loss and getting a big road win. He did what a coach is supposed to do-motivate and get the guys ready,and his troops showed alot of character. Coeburn is starting to get better,which is going to be bad news for the Cumberland over the next few years.

With the absence of Sproles, I would say this is a very solid victory for the Tribe.

Good win for the Indians. I thought Coeburn played a better game for most of the first quarter, but the Indians stepped it up. Smart move I think to keep Sproles and Bates out until they're healthy.
